KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17 — Comedian M. Rajoli died of a brain tumour at Ampang Hospital here tonight. He was 64.
Malaysian Artistes Association (Seniman) president Harun Salim Bachik said M. Rajoli or Mohd Rajoli @ Mohd Rajab Mohamed breathed his last at 10.55pm after battling with the ailment since 2007.
“He was admitted to the hospital last night after developing complications from the brain tumour. His family members were at his bedside when he passed away,” he told Bernama.
He will be buried at the Muslim cemetery in Keramat tomorrow afternoon.
M. Rajoli had an operation on his brain to remove the lymphatic tumour in October 2007, after which he underwent chemotherapy, physiotherapy and radiotherapy treatments at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
He was noted as a comedian in drama series and acted in several movies, including “Congkak” and “Lembing Awang Pulang ke Dayang”. — Bernama
